Investment potential
Modern Uzbekistan is a leading industrial state in the heart of Central Asia, ensuring stability and economic development of the region as a whole.
Among the advantages offered by the modern economy of Uzbekistan for foreign companies are political and macroeconomic stability, favorable natural and climatic conditions, hospitable and hardworking people, and many others.
Of the advantages, the key factors for the success of doing business in Uzbekistan are: a rich resource base, an advantageous geographical location in the center of the largest regional markets, a transport and logistics system integrated into the network of land and air communications of international importance, a diversified industrial base and scientific and intellectual, human resources of the republic.
More than 2,800 deposits and promising manifestations of minerals have been discovered in the republic, the total mineral resource potential of the country is about 3.5 trillion. dollars For many positions, incl. non-metallic and metallic minerals, agricultural raw materials, Uzbekistan occupies one of the leading places in the world. In particular, in terms of copper reserves – 11th place, in terms of gold production – 9th, uranium – 8th, cotton fiber – 5th place.
Proximity to vast sales markets and a developed transport infrastructure of Uzbekistan, integrated into the multimodal communications system of Eurasia, also predetermine the prospects for investment and trade and economic cooperation.
Foreign companies, investing in Uzbekistan, get the opportunity to enter the 5 largest and most dynamically growing markets – these are the CIS countries with a market of more than 300 million people, Central and Eastern Europe, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East. The need to increase the production and export potential of Uzbekistan is evidenced by the fact that Uzbekistan is located in the center of 5 largest and most dynamically growing markets in the world – these are the markets of the CIS, East and Southeast Asia, South Asia, incl. Afghanistan, Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe.
Competition in these markets, in today’s conditions, foreign companies can win only by using the absolute and comparative advantages of Uzbekistan.
First of all, this is the advantageous geographical position of the republic at the intersection of all trade routes between the above regions, a developed multimodal network covering markets far beyond Central Asia, incl. eastern Middle East, northern India and western China.
Unprecedented conditions for the development of dynamically growing and, in many respects, remaining uncovered markets of Central Asia and the CIS are also due to the possibility of duty-free access by Uzbek manufacturers to the markets of Central Asia with a population of 74 million people and the CIS with a population of 300 million people.
